When Elman was 35 he encountered a life changing experience after a climbing expedition on a 7000 meter peak in Pamir mountains. Following two years of intense search he encountered a teacher leading to his awakening. Since then a profound shift in consciousness has occurred, accompanied by a gradual unfolding of awareness regarding deeper truths about himself and the world surrounding him.
